This is another risk/reward par 4, but unlike # 8 the risk of cutting the corner very rarely makes it worth the reward. The correct play on this hole is hitting your tee shot straight at the elbow of the dogleg. From there it is a short iron to the green and still have a viable birdie option. Cutting the corner brings trees and out of bounds into play and usually results in a big number for bold golfers.
